EUROPEAN PAPERS A PUZZLE ?
So many people call us about the problem that they purchased a dog
which has European pedigree and papers but the person they acquired it from did
not do the necessary procedure to have the dog converted to AKC by obtaining the
correct documentation from the country in which it was born and registered.
Plus there are times when an imported female dog that is pregnant from a male stud dog which is still in Europe, has a litter born in the United States, these puppies can be registered here in United States but many people who are in the dog business do not know the correct procedure to ascertain which documents for the litter to be eligible for AKC registration. If the mother is already registered with AKC, then the registering of the litter is $150 which does not include any late fees or penalties imposed by AKC but does include the regular litter registration fee. Our service includes acquiring the necessary documentation and signatures from Europe concerning the male stud so the litter may be registered here in the United States with AKC.
Converting pink papers which have the last European owner's signature assigning the dog to you costs $200 which includes all the European fees, the AKC fees, foreign and domestic mailing. You will need to provide two color photographs of the dog in a standing position, one from the side and one front view. If you do not have the last European owner's signature but do have a written executed contract signed by all parties or a canceled check, then this will substitute for the required signature.
In the event you do not have the last European owner's signature, then there is an additional $100 charge for the attempt to ascertain said signature. It is an additional $75 per signature which is missing after the first signature.
In order to implement the above conversions for you, "certified" copies of the original pink papers, pedigrees, contracts of sale, canceled checks, breeding agreements, etc., will be necessary, along with the above mentioned pictures if required. Please retain all originals and only send certified copies.
Understanding the success of acquiring the needed documentation and conversion process is based upon what information is presently on record with the registry in Europe for your dog. There are no guarantees but every effort possible will be made to be successful in ascertaining your AKC papers.
We are able to convert papers for Germany, Hungary, Chez Republic, Slovak Republic, Romania, Belgium and Netherlands (Holland).
